Egg Pesto Mozzarella Sandwich (Low-Fat Starbuck's Copycat)

Ingredients:


  • 1/2 cup egg whites

  • 2 gluten free artisan white bread slices

  • 2 tbsp pesto sauce

  • 6 tbsp mozzarella cheese

  • Mrs. Dash Lemon Pepper Seasoning (Salt-Free)

  • Avocado Oil Spray (Chosen Brand)


Directions:


  1. Spray the pan with avocado oil spray.

  2. Then add Mrs. Dash seasoning, egg whites and mozzarella cheese to the pan.

  3. Cook egg whites with cheese with closed lid for about 20 minutes (until eggs are firm and not watery).

  4. After 20 minutes, remove egg whites from the stove.

  5. Toast the bread slices on the toaster. Remove bread slices from toaster and let cool on a plate.

  6. Then add 3 tbsp of mozzarella cheese to 1 bread slice. Microwave for 10 seconds.

  7. Remove bread slice from microwave, flip the bread (melted cheese facing down). Add 1 tbsp of pesto sauce on the clean side. Also, add 1 tbsp pesto sauce to the other bread slice.

  8. Warm 2 bread slice in the microwave for 50 seconds.

  9. Put the cheesy bread face down on the plate (cheesy side facing down) and place egg white omelette on top of the other bread slice. Close sandwich and enjoy!
